Dr. Almada founded Alba in 2014 after a decade in restorative practice, with one rule: no clinician sees more than eight patients a day. She works alongside two specialists she trained with — not a rotating roster.

Before-and-after photography is easy to fake and easy to cherry-pick, so we hold ourselves to house rules — and we show you full case files, not highlights, when we meet.
- Same light, same lens, no retouching. Every case is photographed under identical studio conditions, before and after.
- Healed results only. We photograph outcomes at eight weeks or later — never on the day, when everything looks flattering.
- Consent first, always. Cases are shared only with written permission, privately, to patients considering similar treatment.

I'm genuinely afraid of dentists. Is this the wrong place for me?
It's arguably the right one. Roughly a third of our patients arrived after years of avoidance. First visits involve no treatment at all — just conversation and a scan. In the chair, you control the pace with a hand signal that stops everything immediately, and sedation options exist for anything longer. Tell us when you book; we'll schedule extra time at no charge.
How much will my treatment actually cost?
You'll know before you commit to anything. After the Alba Check you receive a written plan with fixed prices — often with a staged option and a comprehensive option. That quote doesn't change unless the plan changes, and any change is agreed with you in writing first. Guide prices for each treatment are listed above.
Do you work with insurance?
We're an independent private clinic, so we don't bill insurers directly — but we provide itemised invoices and clinical reports that most Portuguese and international plans accept for reimbursement. Our patient care team will happily prepare the paperwork; just bring your policy details.
How long do veneers and whitening actually last?
Honestly: hand-layered porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years with normal care, and we've seen ours older than that. Whitening holds well for 12–24 months depending on coffee, wine, and smoking; your take-home kit lets you top up safely. Anyone promising "permanent" results is selling, not informing.
Do I need a referral, or a specific problem, to come in?
Neither. Many first visits are simply "I'd like to understand my options" — that's a perfectly good reason. The Alba Check works as a thorough second opinion too; bring any existing plans or X-rays and we'll review them with you, candidly.
Will people be able to tell I've had work done?
Not if we've done our job. Our entire aesthetic philosophy is built around your existing face — its proportions, symmetry, and age. The goal is that people think you look rested, or happier, and can't say why. If you want the very white, very uniform look instead, we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right studio for it.
