Three seats, one long bench cushion — feather-wrapped foam under heavy ecru linen, on a solid oak plinth. Sinks just enough. The cover unzips and machine-washes.

01 The Collection
Six pieces. No filler.
We don't do seasons. We do pieces worth keeping — each one drawn, prototyped and sat on for months before it earns a name.
A high, curved back that holds your shoulders like a cupped hand. Rust wool bouclé over a kiln-dried oak frame, joined without a single screw you'll ever see.
One oval slab of Portuguese oak, 4 cm thick, hand-oiled until the grain reads like a map. The splayed legs bolt on in four minutes — the only flat-pack we allow.
A base thrown on the wheel in speckled clay, a pleated linen shade that turns one bulb into candlelight. The dimmer clicks like a good pen.
Three splayed legs, a saddle seat carved to fit an actual body. Kitchen perch, bedside table, step-up for the top shelf — it refuses to stay in one room.
A trio of hand-thrown stoneware — bottle, bowl, cup — glazed in clay, oat and olive. No two speckle the same way. Sold only as the family.
02 Materials & Craft
Wood you can read.
Every LOAM piece starts as Portuguese oak, air-dried for a year and kiln-dried for three weeks until it stops arguing with the weather. We finish it with hardwax oil, not lacquer — so it feels like wood, ages like wood, and forgives like wood.
The upholstery is wool bouclé from a family mill; the ceramics are thrown twenty minutes from our workshop. If a material can't get more beautiful with use, it doesn't get in.
- i.Dried slow, twiceA year in open air, three weeks in the kiln — down to 8% moisture, so joints stay tight through every winter.
- ii.Joined, not fastenedMortise-and-tenon and dowel joints, glued and clamped overnight. Screws are for hinges, nothing else.
- iii.Finished by handTwo coats of plant-based hardwax oil, buffed by hand. Scratches? A cloth and five minutes make them memories.

05 From Slow Rooms
What owners tell us.
Collected from verified owners after their 60-night trial ended — when the honeymoon is over and the opinion is real.
The Vale is where the day ends now. My cat and I have a standing dispute over it.
Two toddlers, one Dune sofa, eight months. The cover has been washed four times and still looks better than our old sofa did new.
I ordered the Tarn expecting furniture. What arrived was closer to a piece of a tree with very good manners.
