Tantrum® Brand Studio Lisboa — est. 2019 Field: challengers only Status: loud

Polite brands die quietly.

Tantrum is a brand studio for companies tired of being reasonable. We build identities people argue about — because arguments are how strangers become customers. Attention isn’t bought here. It’s provoked.

Selected damage

Four fights we picked recently. Clients fictionalised, numbers audited, modesty unavailable.

Armed with

Seven weapons, one crew. We only sell them together when together is what wins.

  1. 01NamingThe cheapest media you will ever own. We make ones that survive a shout across a bar.
  2. 02Identity systemsLogos are 4% of it. We build the other 96 — type, colour, motion, rules worth breaking.
  3. 03Verbal identityYour brand, but it can talk. Voice, message hierarchy, the words on the button.
  4. 04Art directionPictures with opinions. Shoots, sets, and styleframes that don’t apologise.
  5. 05PackagingShelf combat, hand to hand. Designed to be picked up, photographed, kept.
  6. 06Motion & webThe identity, but it moves — and sells. Sites built to convert without going beige.
  7. 07CampaignsLaunches with a thesis. One idea, said loudly, in every channel that matters.

The doctrine

Three beliefs. Non-negotiable. Printed on the studio wall in type you can read from the street.

i.

Distinct beats pretty

Pretty is table stakes — every agency on earth can make you pretty. Distinct is a moat. We optimise for the thing your category cannot copy without embarrassing itself.

ii.

Consensus is camouflage

If every stakeholder is comfortable, your customer is asleep. The strongest work in our archive was approved 4–3, not 7–0. We’ll tell you which vote you’re about to take.

iii.

Strategy is a spine

Not a ninety-page deck. One sentence sharp enough to fire a tagline, a package, and a hiring decision. If it can’t do all three, it isn’t strategy — it’s stalling.

“Nobody ever screenshotted a brand for being adequate.” — the first thing we say in every kickoff, and the last thing we check before every launch.

Who we
fight for

Challengers only: the second-place, the just-launched, the category creators, the unfairly ignored. If you’re the comfortable incumbent, we’re probably working for the brand that keeps you up at night.

You’re a fit if

  • +You’d rather be loved by 10% than tolerated by all of them.
  • +One person can say yes. (Committees welcome to watch.)
  • +You have a real product and a real enemy — a habit, a giant, a default.
  • +You want the work to move a number, not win a moodboard.

You’re not if

  • You want “like the market leader, but cheaper.”
  • The brief is “make it pop” and the budget is “exposure.”
  • Eleven stakeholders each hold a veto and a Pinterest board.
